I warmly welcome the arts and science candidates of 2016 to apply to Tsinghua SEM. In the College Entrance Exam of 2015, Tsinghua SEM continues to be the top choice of most outstanding examinees in each province. Every fall semester, when I give lectures of ¡°Principles of Economics¡± to our freshmen, I can see the demonstrated excellence of SEM¡¯s undergraduates. SEM provides every freshman with a personal supervisor. Currently, among our faculty members, four got their Ph.D. degrees from Harvard, two from Stanford, two from UC Berkeley and two from MIT. Tsinghua SEM has become one of the most international schools of economics and management in China.I was fortunate to be one of the first undergraduates (1977) of Tsinghua after the "Cultural Revolution". It is Tsinghua that gave me the opportunity to study abroad in early 1980s, the knowledge to lay solid foundation for my further study, and the chance to know numerous people who have become my mentors and friends in life. I hope Tsinghua SEM will be a choice that changes your life.
